Alright, back to food. I don't do food posts all the time, because I like other aspects of life other than eating, like... fun stuff. Like... soap shredders, and music, and various other misc items.

Funny, this is a backlog, but Bello was actually revisited yesterday after badminton just for group coffee. The good thing about coffee is that it's perfect just having it by yourself, and you won't be considered too much of a loner sitting at a table by yourself with a good book, or some work to do (though some places might mind you using their cafe as an office...), and at other times, it's good catching up with a friend over coffee, or having a big group of friends to have coffee together.

Bello is located inside Burwood Westfield... facing outside, it's almost half inside and outside. A cafe, restaurant AND bar, it serves breakfast till 5pm and lunch as well as dinner.

Macchiato. I can't think of macchiato without craving the wattle macchiato from cafe ish.

It's disappointing, but recent cafes that we visited don't DO latte art! Lazy baristas. I look forward to seeing pretty pictures on my coffee =(

This was pre badminton one week, and we had the most interesting brunch. This is THE definition of brunch because we had breakfast items and lunch items. Now that I think about it, this is more afternoon tea, but it's all good~ scones!!

Pretty normal scones. I don't really know how to fully appreciate scones, but I do know that the Tea Cosy place does the best scones I've ever had so far in my life. Their date scones with fig jam is absolutely the best. Cream doesn't seem to be freshly whipped cream, but I do like cream in most forms- from cans, straight from the jar, whipped, sour cream... yep, cream. And butter. Yum.

Rocket pizza! Just look at that pile of rocket on top of the pizza~ it looks suspiciously like that UNFORGIVABLE mess which Kuai Zi served us (I still can't get that bitter taste out of my mouth when I think about it), but there is such a huge difference. This pizza was so good, the rocket went well with the pizza and it's almost like making a pizza and then piling on a salad and eating the lot together. That's a fantastic idea~ shall do that when I make my own pizza next time, since I still have yeast sitting in the freezer.
Here is when S attempted to justify Kuai Zi's rocket salad of cheese and pear, but I don't buy it still. Blacklisted it shall stay.

A BELT- bacon egg lettuce tomato... plus added avocado. This would be a lunch item, no?

I never tried this, but I can imagine how it tastes... anything with bacon can do no wrong, and avocado is always an added bonus. Tomato is one of the best sandwich item if you don't leave it too long so it makes the bread go soggy, and the egg gives additional protein to the otherwise iron filled sandwich.
Then yesterday, some guys tried the chocolate mudslide, which is this drink of liquid chocolate and coffee latte. It sounded like a mocha, but when it came, it's really just chocolate sauce around the side of the glass and a latte. Turned out overly sweet, so it's not a recommended drink~ just play safe and go for a "normal" coffee.
Their blend was something weird, I never ended up taking note of it. Oh well!
